Hmm, so if a DVD lists its region as 'Free', does that mean it will play on any DVD player. Or does it mean that it's one of those home-burned ones that will only play on a DVD-burning machine?

Technically it means what it says, there's no region on it, discs don't come regionized, it's put on by the corporate pigs so they can control markets and the like, Ive got a couple of old silent films on region free dvd and they play alright on my crappy dvd player, if it says it's a region free dvd, you can probably assume that it is, otherwise it's be called a vcd or something.
