The family have departed after most pleasant birthday weekend. The only slight downside came during dinner yesterday when I caved and quietly asked a passing waitress 'Excuse me, I don't suppose you happen know what the rugby score is?' *sniffle* Well at least it wasn't 36-0 like last time, and we did make it to the final which I think is pretty darn good considering how we started. Swing low sweet chariot, etc etc :)

The father is a 60s babe, apparently. Anyway he recently came to visit and played the CD The Best of Steeleye Span. Which turned out to be a bizarre experience. There were tunes I just knew although I can honestly say I have never heard them before. This one in particular had me literally hitting him to make him shut-up so I could listen. Apparently he and the mother had the old records/cassettes so I suppose I must have heard them as a grub. Although I couldn't recall listening to it before, it was a tune I can't remember not knowing. Fantastic :)
