The father is a 60s babe, apparently. Anyway he recently came to visit and played the CD The Best of Steeleye Span. Which turned out to be a bizarre experience. There were tunes I just knew although I can honestly say I have never heard them before. This one in particular had me literally hitting him to make him shut-up so I could listen. Apparently he and the mother had the old records/cassettes so I suppose I must have heard them as a grub. Although I couldn't recall listening to it before, it was a tune I can't remember not knowing. Fantastic :)

Okay, that's like the neatest song I've heard in ages. Reminds me of this group of minstrals that I heard play at a renaissance festival a couple of years ago. Love that stuff. :D

I love steeleye span! I missed out on going to see them in Bristol because I couldn't find anyone to go with me.
