The father is a 60s babe, apparently. Anyway he recently came to visit and played the CD The Best of Steeleye Span. Which turned out to be a bizarre experience. There were tunes I just knew although I can honestly say I have never heard them before. This one in particular had me literally hitting him to make him shut-up so I could listen. Apparently he and the mother had the old records/cassettes so I suppose I must have heard them as a grub. Although I couldn't recall listening to it before, it was a tune I can't remember not knowing. Fantastic :)

Okay, that's like the neatest song I've heard in ages. Reminds me of this group of minstrals that I heard play at a renaissance festival a couple of years ago. Love that stuff. :D

Best of Steeleye Span - it's a self-extracting zip, hence the .exe. Basically seems to be my childhood background music in a nutshell, so I love it :)

I think my Dad is mainly a fan of the old-school stuff with Tim Hart and Maddy Prior - certainly those are the main vocals that I remember, though I don't think I know any of their more recent stuff, is it still as good?
