I don't know much about Stargate other than what was shown in the film. However, this was in answer to the question over at ASSB: 'Which AtS character should crossover to which TV show?'

I don't watch SG1 much. (Okay only like 6 eps, 3 from Season 6 and 3 from S9.) But I know that Vala is supposed to be some sort of off-world con-woman who really annoys Daniel. She is played by Farscape's Claudia Black.

Ah, I don't know Stargate and I don't know Farscape. But anyone who can really annoy the intelligent and otherwise quite polite geek must be fun to have around :)

This is Vala and she'd annoy/enchant Wesley in much the same way that Faith does. Great plot hook, too!

Vala is the character who almost got me to watch SG-1. Whatever the last season was she was the token woman who filled in while Sam was gone. Vala was snarky and wore leather. The actress compared her character's behavior to Anya. But then Sam came back and they could only have, you know, one woman on the show. Vala liked to harass Daniel and drag him on adventures.

Comment contains casting spoilers, but I don't think any of you currently watch Stargate anyway?

Er, and probably related to the above, the producers are talking about Sam splitting time between Stargate and the spin-off next year. Not that I mind; I think she'll fit in good there, and besides, then during those episodes the spin-off will have three main female characters.

Snarky and wears leather are things I can only see as positives, LOL! She sounds like she could be fun, if she can annoy Daniel then heaven knows how much she'd infuriate Wesley. **rubs hands**
