So the past few days have been full of fun revision.

Have I taken any of it in?

Hah!

Course not. *sigh*

Anyway, little quizzes and lovely fics have a way of cheering me up. Which is kind of odd considering how depressing and dark some of said fics are.

It is quite remarkable how I manage to get such different answers, but then again, being female, I suppose timing really is everything...

[livejournal.com profile] thebratqueen has written the most lovely short-ish fic: Habit.

And of course [livejournal.com profile] willshenillshe has been writing gorgeous sonnet-themed fics, as well as the brilliant
Imaginary
Unseen
Ransom
Invocation
Awakened
Memory
The Fool's Journey 1: The Fool
The Fool's Journey 2: The Magician
The Fool's Journey 3: The High Priestess
The Fool's Journey 4: The Empress

ETA: I feel cheated.

Well, actually, no I don't considering there really was no reasonable way I could have known about the show at the time and, more to the point, there was no way I would have had any time/interest in hiking all the way up to London to see it.

But still.

Yes. I knew that AD had appeared in theatre (and I'm hoping he might come back and do some more sometime), and yes, I knew that it was through that that he met ASH.

I did not take in that the play was 'Rope', nor did I take in the fact that the play seems to have been widely praised by the critics, nor did I even vaguely begin to imagine that, apparently, the opening scene went something like this:

A total blackout heralds the opening scene. It is deeply disturbing and sets the atmosphere perfectly. Minimal light
gradually falls on three naked, satiated men draped languorously over an antique chest. Before being plunged back
into darkness the dreadful realisation dawns. One man is dead.

Ah well. Such is life.

Thanks for the recs, will go read Habit when I have some spare time. I've just started a new WIP, (as in written about 400 words!) and I'm a bit unsure about it. I'll try and write the first chapter and see how it comes out. Hope the revision is going well, I'm counting the days till the Easter hols - *squees at the thought of two weeks off*
