Okay, I'm just going to admit to myself that I've just become another fangirl of Franz Ferdinand. Ah well. Their songs are catchy, their second album continues to grow on me. Plus:

1) The way singer Alex Kapranos sings 'Boy' is now a new kink of mine. Kind of the same way that imagining Angel saying 'Pretty boy' to Wes will always send shivers down the spine.

2) The chorus of Michael was apparently censored, and on recordings is 'So come and dance with me, Michael.' The original lyrics, still sometimes sung live, are 'So come all over me, Michael.'

3) Kapranos knows of and has in fact seen slash fic. Including one that slashes him with Steve Morrissey. His reaction: "I think it's brilliant..."

Nope, I only started listening to them a few weeks back, since then my love for them seems to have grown at an exponential rate, LOL! If they do ever play at a decent venue near me, I am so sold =)

Uh, sorry, have no idea. It was over a year ago back in NZ when they were promoting the 1st album. My most vivid memory of the concert apart from the wonderfulness of FF was that there was a large teenage girl next to me *stomping* her foot to every song. It really drowned out the drums! The set was very quick as they only had the one album out then, about 50 mins! ;)

Stomping foot or no stomping foot, I still envy you :) FF are playing here in two weeks, but they're completely sold out. Plus they're playing a big arena, and I get the feelign that to see anything you need to a) be in the standing area, right by the stage, and b) be a giant.

I highly recommend you have a poke around slacken_ties. This is the comm that Alex mentioned in a gig a couple of weeks ago - something along the lines of 'And here is Bob, making the girls at Slacken Ties very happy'. Queue fangirl overload ;) There's an excellent vampire fic over there too, Alex being the Master, and Bob being his new boy. Very entertaining!

Oooh yes. Say Hello to serious Franz Love! =) I've been nosing around some of the communities. Those boys really are a blast, and very pretty, and hot damn but Alex can even make an inhaler teh hotness, LOL!
