lonelybritSo that turned out to be a most pleasant birthday. I'd obtained one cookbook and a bottle of rum before breakfast, by lunchtime I'd gained another bottle of rum and one repaired internet connection. By bedtime, I've read lovely lovely Angel/Wes ficlets, chatted on MSN, been brought several drinks, and had a chocolate fondu. Yep, life is good :)

Rescue Me -elgrey - technically Angel/Wes, but dark and angsty and lovely, with hopeful beginnings of maybe Wes/Gunn.

Date: 2005-10-21 08:09 am (UTC)SlashSwan Lake. It is incredible, and you do not laugh at The Swan. I basically insert Wes into the prince role, and Angel is The Swan/The Stranger. The ballroom scene is slashy heaven with The Stranger and the Prince dancing with the women, but following each other with their eyes. And the Stranger wears leather trousers...The Stranger

*pets* Oh yes, there is a most lovely gorgous slashy version of Swan Lake. All the swans, including The Swan, are played by men, and visually it is simply stunning. *sighs at memory* Normally I am a hardhearted creature who refuses to cry in cinemas and certainly not at a mere ballet. But I had a lump in the throat and tear in the eye as the curtains fell on the last act... *sniffle*
And thank you! people gave me rum and brought me drinks and food, so it was a grand birthday indeed!
