So I spent most of this afternoon worrying I'd killed the sound on my laptop whilst trying to find a free DVD player. I had a rant all planned and everything. I've scanned, debugged, uninstalled numerous times, before finally trying to see if the headphones worked.

Which they did. In fact, when I unplugged the headphones the rest of the system perked up too, and sound was restored. It could be that I had just found the little volume dial on the side of the machine and turned it up. *sigh*

This is why I should be kept well away from technology.

In more cheery news, I'm off downstairs to watched Love Soup, and then SuperNova. The latter I love because it's funny and silly and has black holes. It also has a young female aussie who, if I could change the accent, I think is pretty much the kind of lass I imagine Minty growing up to be :)

I started looking at them, and they didn't really. It was like a screen capture of the first page of her fics, but it wouldn't go on to the others. On the other hand, I have been busy grading papers and averaging grades, so I haven't spent a great deal of time checking each one of the attachments. I so wish she'd saved more of her writing to an archive somewhere. It's my fault anyway. I saw her recced for a long time on LJ, and then, when I get around to friending her, wouldn't you know, she decides to delete her journal. Of all the luck. Just bad timing on my part.

I will look at it some more and see if I can figure it out.

If they turn out to be unreadable, just give me a poke and I'll cut and paste them into word for you, she really has written some beautiful stuff. Beautiful in a kind of soul-crushing heart-shredding way, but essential reading nevertheless!

I have started friending more authors when I keep seeing them recced because I'm so afraid I'll miss something.

She's the one who sent me to you! Right after I friended her, I saw a post in her journal about your Wes/Angel fic with (((Minty))).

Sometimes I think my reading list is just too much, but I so enjoy reading all the authors, (most of the time) I can't give anyone up. Hee. I'm addicted.
