Fingers crossed I should be going to see Serenity in about *checks watch* 8.5 hours. Yes, I have never actually seen an ep of Firefly, but I'm hoping I'll be able to enjoy it nevertheless. In fact I really hope so as I'm dragging one of my housemates along with me and she, dear lamb, didn't even see the last few seasons of AtS. But then again, princess_s should be coming along too, and I think she knows the general gist, so maybe she can give us a three minute summary.

You'll do fine without it. It's helpful to know who the characters are, but you don't need to--they explain everything you need to know.

I'll be interested to hear your opinion then, as I've not yet seen Firefly either and wondered whether I'd appreciate Serenity properly, though I know it's meant to standalone. Enjoy!

I think you'll deff appreciate it. most of the people who haven't seen it and have gone to see the movie always end up leaving and asking where to get the DVD's. It makes you want to know more.

Few things to help you understand even better:
Simon's very pretty.
Because the US and China were superpowers later in time the cultures melded and everything partially speaks Chinese. Little phrases and such gorram means g*ddamn.
Simon needs to be my love slave.
The beginning part is a blip of the past, not the present like a lot of people think
Mmmmm Simon.
Joss did another fine job with the music.

Ohhh and if I haven't mentioned it before. *guh* Simon. Mmmm Sinister!Simon.

*grin* I would like Simon to play a more sinister role, like he was at the very beginning. Oddly enough I think he's made to be a brilliant villain, as a good guy he kinda left me cold. But then again I was comparing him the whole time to Wes, and no-one can compare to Wes for me, not yet... *grin*

You lucky lucky girl. I have yet to find anyone beyond my flist who has even heard of Serenity. But on the upside, I go to see Swan Lake this weekend. Ballet boy slash!!!

Oooh, the ballet is so very very pretty. You have to call or write to me when you've seen it! That ballroom scene with the two men dancing with their respective female partners but with their eyes on each other the whole time.... *wibble*
