Had a driving test and failed today. Naturally a little downcast, but actually not too much. I think I'd be more worried if they said I was ready to be unleashed unsupervised on the road. Cars... *shudders* So, apparently next time I need to be more positive and try not to reduce to a snail's pace every. single. time. I come to a junction.

I can't help it. Cars. Buses. Cyclists. They frighten me. *rueful grin*

Ah well, better luck next time, or you could do what I did, declare you're now morally oppossed to cars and that there's no need for halve the people driving them to have them when there's a perfectly good bus that takes three times as much time to get there and is fully of smelly people who don't seem to have any teeth.

See, I didn't fail! My not passing was a political statement I tell you! ;)

My 18 year old son took his yesterday and failed too. Silly boy should've walked it. But he mucked up his reversing round a corner manoeuvre for the first time since I can't remember, and made a bad judgement call encountering a line of parked cars and an oncoming vehicle. It's nervewracking, I remember. I was a basket case first time. I actually passed mine (2nd time round) more than 7 months pregnant...I think the examiner took pity on me. I wore my most unflattering dungarees, the ones that made me look like an elephant about to pop. Lol

I dread the reversing around a corner, although I think I did alright this time, which was wierd. It didn't help that a bunch of motorcyclists stopped to have a roadside chat in the road I was supposed to be backing into...
