Ye Gods I thought weekends were meant to be relaxing. Pfft.

Okay, the good news.

1) I went to see Jerry Springer the Opera for a friend's birthday. Brilliant - highly florid language and totally irreverent, but still very funny. Moments that will stay with me will include seeing the Ku Klux Clan tap-dancing and hearing Jesus duet with Satan for several minutes on 'Talk to the stigmata'.

2) Um. I got my homework in on time? I'm halfway through one report, leaving only one and a half left to do by Wednesday. Go me!


The bad news.

1) AD cancelled SFX con. Curses. However, me and my buddy are still planning to go along and get wasted have a laugh. She's an SG1 fan, so hopefully she'll enjoy seeing the baddy from the show there :)

2) Evil Plot Ferret is lurking outside my door. I have a WIP. I have deadlines and exams in a mere seven, seven!, weeks I must revise for. Ergo, WIP should bloody well stay WIP. Will it? Not sure. Somehow it gained an extra chapter over the weekend. **facepalms**

Ooh, just remembered the final piece of good news... I'm well again! Yay! Have a slightly alarming sounding chesty cough, but apart from that I'm actually feeling right as rain, bright eyed and bushy tailed, rocked and ready to roll, etc etc.

**checks watch** Homework. Evil. Bah.

Glad to hear the cold's gone - take care of the cough, though. Suck strepsils and suchlike. So sorry about AD cancelling SFX - I couldn't go 'cos of family commitments, but I was so hoping you would get to meet him and give us all the details!

Hey, I just friended you. Hope that is ok with you. Don't know why I missed you the first time around. My brain just wasn't able to transfer your "lonely Brit" nick from wesleysc to "lonelybrit" here in lj land. But hey, it is kind of hard to figure that connection out, right? I'm not stupid or something, am I? Maybe I was just blind and didn't see your comments at the other people's ljs. I don't know what exactly went wrong. I like how you analyze Angel episodes and all. So there was no reason for not friending you before, other than I just didn't get it.

And to bad about AD not coming to SFX con. Hope you and your friend will be having fun anyways.

Now remember, you asked!

Apophis, played by Peter Williams. The false god Teal’c served until betraying him to join SG-1. Major bad guy from Episode 1 to late Season 2, when he died. Mid Season 3, we learn he was resurrected by the sarcophagus -- which happens a lot on the show, seeing as each member of SG-1 (Jack, Teal’c, Carter, Daniel) has died at least two, three times, my poor, poor Jack WAY more than three times -- and is causing trouble again. Again, after thinking he died, he comes back last Season 4 and causes a LOT of trouble. First episode of Season 5, he died again. He hasn’t shown up again in almost three seasons, so we think he’s really dead this time.

He’s been a big bad guy for a long time -- he personally killed SG-1 at least once, he tortured them another time, he’s destroyed and enslaved countless planets. But, believe it or not, he isn’t the worst we’ve seen. Uber-evil baddie? One of the lower down ones, maybe. But Peter seems like a fun guy, so you should like him if you go. :D
