The cold finally caught up with me. Woke up with no voice. Nose still very unhappy. Eyes itchy. Teeth aching.
And outside it was trying to snow. Normally very pretty but not when you're ill and have to walk three blocks to the bus stop and wait for the bus.
Anyway. Got home. Fell asleep. Woke up. Panicked. Rushed out to get to the observatory vaguely on time.
Decided that, yes, I was ill when I found myself huddling in scarf, hat, gloves and coat against the radiator during tea break. On the plus side, people were nice, and I got free strepsils :)
And, yay team!, I managed to finally extract the data for *one* star. It's only taken me, what, two weeks. And I've another three stars to do. And the reports due in two weeks. If I had enough energy I would get stressed.
Anyway. Am now home and about to crash for the night. I stopped by the offlicence on the way back and bought myself one of those mini bottles of Southern Comfort.
Hot Ribena and whiskey. Yum.....

Date: 2004-03-10 05:49 pm (UTC)Finished Willa's fic, and left it in your PM at Wesleys/c for beta. ONLY if you're up to it, sweetie. It's not due to be posted till next Thursday, so I've loads of time.
And stay home tomorrow. Wandering strange observatories in a flu state is not recommended. You could add honey and lemon to the hot Ribena...*toddles off to kitchen to prepare one for self*
Hugs to you, and take it easy, please!
