So this week's episode of Dr Who has once again left me a very happy brit. I love Captain Jack still. I want a smiley Captain Jack icon with 'Lord of the Dance' on it. But most importantly... *bounces*


DALEK!!! LOTS OF CUTE LITTLE DALEKS!!! A CROWD OF DALEKS!!! DALEKDALEKDALEK!!!!!

Ahem. Back to random thoughts on this week's ep.

1) Jack's silent "Whatever" sign was so cheesy and just one of the cutest things I've seen on TV recently.

2) So yes, the innuendos weren't as great as last week. But still, that initial conversation between Jack and the Doctor was good enough for me =)
"You're such hard work."
"But I'm worth it."

3) I know it'll turn out I'm reading far too much into this... BUT... I found it interesting that when we had that round of 'Oooh, look, none of the good guys can meet the eye of the alien they're going to deliver to her DEATH', Jack was left out. We didn't get to see whether or not he would have blinked. My personal feeling is that he would have met her gaze quite coolly and not batted an eyelid.

Right. All done now. Back to beating evil bunnies to death with a straw.

Oh, I was watching with the family, and they were all talking and I missed the I'm worth it line - *growls* I did however catch the one where Jack's working on fixing the Tardis and the doctor asks him -

"How's it going, big guy (man?)" BE STILL MY SLASHY LITTLE HEART.

I love Captain Jack. And next week's ep looks fanbloodytastic. Jack seems to be on a futursistic version of What Not To Wear. My suggestion would be clothes.

*grin* Yes, I was wondering just that. At least, I think he is, despite his smiles and jokes, quite capable of being very ruthless and detached when he thinks something needs to be done.

Not to mention, he does have two years worth of memories missing, doesn't he? I'm looking foward to finding out just why they were taken away from him. He did tell Rose that for all he knows, the Doctor was right to initially distrust him. *purrs* ah... the sweet possibility of angst =)

A friend at work today was talking with me and Aysheh today, and saying how it took her about two weeks to get used to my squeaking and squeeing and generally being insane. Now she's totally used to it, LOL!

And GP's heard nothing ticket-wise. Time to figure out eBay for the ones we have, I think.

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this week's ep because based on the teaser from last week it didn't look that great. (Maybe because the teaser tried to concentrate on the plot which this ep so wasn't about.)

I loved the little exchange between the Doctor and Jack at the beginning that you quoted from, not just for Jack flirting but that the Doctor was flirting back. I don't know if I ever seriously saw slash vibes on Doctor Who before, not without having to squint at least.

I love the dynamic between all three of the TARDIS crew actually and I really hope that Captain Jack will be sticking around and maybe even make it to official Companion status and get his name in the opening credits next season.

And the TARDIS saving the day -- that actually has given me the beginnings of a plot bunny which I'm not sure I should encourage or try to kill...

Oh hell yes, that was the delight, to first watch Jack flirting away... and then to realise the Doctor was flirting right back. Squeeeeeee!!

I think Jack is sticking around until the end of the Season, though, yes, I'm so hoping his name gets added to the opening credits.

And as for the TARDIS bunny... **pets it and feeds it organic luxery carrots**

I really NEVER thought I'd see slash potential on Dr Who, but now it's there I'm over the moon. I think Russell Davies is a God. I loved Casanova too, so the news David Tennant is the new doctor is good, though pity Christopher Ecclestone didn't stick around a little longer.

That whole initial dialogue between the Doctor and Jack just won my heart.

I only saw the last ep of Casanova, but from what I saw I was left feeling quite content with the new Doctor. Though I'm crossing fingers and toes that Jack will also reappear next in the next series.
