Fanfic Author Appreciation Week

Right, well, most people on my FL are great writers; fanfic being the usual reason I'll wind up on a new LJ. So I'll probably wind up doing more than one appreciation per post, but for the moment...

Author: silent__dreams.

In a word, she just writes the most lovely Angel/Wes. Her series, Songs of Innocence, will one second have me curling up and purring, and the next have me dabbing at the eyes. I think what I love most, apart from Angel/Wes of course, is the real sense of family she can create when writing about AI. Plus, she has a great way of being able to make you really feel for whichever character she's writing at the time. One moment you're feeling sorry for Angel, the next it's Wesley. She makes you understand where each is coming from; which only makes their estrangement (in Season 2) all the more painful. And that is not to say she cannot do dark as well. Although that has so far mainly appeared in various RPG's; she did one kick-ass Angelus.
