Welcome to the Far Side...
Mar. 4th, 2004 10:44 pmI'm drunk.
Just thought I'd say that straight out so that when you see the horrible spelling errors and complete lack of plot, you'll at least know why.
Again, a good day. Although I begin to see why maybe it's a bad thing to finish your homework before it's due. You wind up sitting in the undergraduate library whilst the whole world and his wife goes: "Why? Why? Why?" and "Can I see your question 3?"
**sigh**
Anyway, got homework in on time. Retreated to union bar with various friends and proceeded to drink, from my point of view, rather alarming amounts of alcohol. (And yes, I *know* that's spelt wrong!) One plate of chips and a few pints of cider later and I am in the currently rather dazy but happy state I am currently in.
Keira - nope. Not home this weekend, am trying to fathom the mysteries of Particle Physics. Oh, and I would just like to issue a formal apology. I have been ranting on about the inhumanity of Nuclear Physics unfairly. It's not Nuclear that has been causing me grief, it's Particle that is the unknown 10th ring of Hell. One day Particle Physics shall rise up from the text book, take in hand the quark of inhumanity, and wipe the race of man from the Earth.
As for fic... **points to small mountain range of paper**
When that is all done, which should be just after the exams in mid-June, then I shall have time to breath and then I shall have the time to vent in the form of fic :)
Right. Going to go, drink water, eat muffin, then crash for the night. Hope you are all faring well!

Date: 2004-03-04 06:09 pm (UTC)Ah, particle physics. How well I remember my then not-hubby staying up four nights in a row to complete a final year project on this very subject. We dosed him with aspirin and caffeine tablets and sent him to do a presentation on the fifth day.
On the journey home next day (ten hours on a train + three on a ferry in a very scary storm) he remained asleep throughout the entire trip despite actual suitcases falling on him. Yes, the joys of the quark are many and varied.
Drink lots of water and sleep well...

Date: 2004-03-05 03:43 am (UTC)Yes, I do have memories of sleep becoming a thing for wimps whenever a deadline reared its ugly head. And yes, I think I managed to sleep through a fire alarm the night after i finally handed my report it...
As for Chapter 9.... This from the lady who gave us the adorable mini-Wes with the glasses and the eyes and the little comment about Hells Angel... Sterling as always! It's all beta-ed and waiting for you :)

Date: 2004-03-05 03:46 am (UTC)Drinking was fun. Drank loads of water afterwards and was actually up early this morning feeling unbelievably bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. Life is a strange strange thing...
