Guess who got to see Avengers: Age of Ultron on Thursday. Oh yes, hello smugness my old friend... Thumbs up from me, and of course I'm now already looking forward to the next one :)

Agents of SHIELD also continues to be highly, highly satisfying. Hats off to Kyle MacLachlan for making me genuinely feel conflicted over Cal. His 'goodbye' visit with Skye ended up being one of my favourite scenes, ending with him flipping flawlessly from heartbreak to fury to something else as he reacts first to being left behind to realising Hydra is back on their case. The best Marvel 'villains' so far have been those where on some level you really do feel for them and what they've been through, but equally their current actions are absolutely not ones you can support (see also Loki and Kingpin). Good times. Bring on the Marvel family angst.

As for Supernatural - hah! One of their 'teaser' posters had the supposedly intriguing tagline 'What is Sam prepared to do to save his brother...' My reaction was of course "We literally don't care because there is actually nothing he can do we haven't seen before." All main 3 players have taken turns dying/resurrection, going evil/good, going solo/rejoining the team. Whatever. But I'm still really enjoying this season as good ol' HMS Destiel continues to sail strong and true into the sunset. Regardless of how it all plays out, no-one can convince me that Cas isn't Dean's Collette. Huzzah.

Next on the watch list, Jupiter Ascending...
