Mm, had a nice if rather tiring weekend. The cherry on top, so to speak, was my younger brother and a small gaggle of his friends practising for a talent contest. All afternoon. With guitairs and drums and lots of shouting/singing.

After a few hours my sister came in looking rather pathetic: 'Make them stop!'

So we banned them to the basement whilst we continued to struggle away with various reports and homeworks. The joy.

It was also bloody cold today and I officially love my lovely wooly pudding bowl hat. It may look nerdy, but I don't care. I had a 10 minute wait at a bus stop and it was windy. The hat rules. No one shall mock the hat.

And another thing, just out of curiosity...

Am I the only one who saw Wesley's bag in 'Smile Time', and just thought 'aw, how sweet, he's still using a satchel.' I admit that the rest of his outfit was pretty much gayness personified (which made that final scene make even less sense), but the one thing I didn't see was 'the gay man's handbag.' Have I missed the part where a satchel now = gay handbag, am I really that old-fashioned and antiquated? **feeling worried**

Hope people all had a decent weekend :)

He had a satchel in S1 'I've got you under my skin' (hm, wonder why I know that ep so well?), and I just thought, okay, he has to have something to carry his books. Please bear in mind I was as yet unaware of that thing called slash or the whole subtext that I now see was clearly going on from the very beginning. *g*

And I am totally spoiled for this ep. now. I was resisting downloading the eps, and watching them on Sky, but to no avail. So do I need to download all the eps from 5.08 on to make sense of the arc (if indeed there is an arc), or are there any that are just filler eps (ie ones with no Wes!)

BTW, like the sound of the hat. Got to get me one of those for playground duty! I have one that makes me look like Mrs. Cobbit the flower seller from 'Trumpton' - I suppose you're too young to remember it. Go here to see what children's TV was like in the early 70s! Oh, I'm getting a lump in my throat just looking at this!

The talent show practice sounds excruciating. Thank God my girls are too little for guitars yet. The worst they do is put on ballet videos and twirl around the lounge, which is actually extremely cute.

Welcome back to the land of distractions!
