Well, overall it was the weakest of all 3 eps. But still, very nice acting all round. And I did like the resolution of it all at the end.

So this week felt like it was (finally) the ep with some actual 'plot'. But actually the plot itself wasn't that spectacular, at least for me. Though fortunately, Sherlock has that advantage of where the writing falters, it has a lovely, charismatic cast that you adore and will keep you entertained anyhow. (Much as I loved the show, I am aware Merlin had the same advantage).

And as the plane soared into the horizon, I was preparing to think 'Eh, ok, that was nice enough, nothing special...'

And then...

"Did you miss me?"

YES. Yes, it turns out, I had.

And I do love Mycroft ('Well I hope you've learned your lesson').

So that's that for another couple of years. Good luck to them all in the interim.

ETA: And yes, Tumblr and Sherlock fandom is going into meltdown. It is beautiful. 'Let Me Play You the Song of my People' (SPOILERS), aka my favourite post at the moment that also perfectly summed up my feelings as the credits rolled :)
