A little touch of Harry in the night

So guess who's just caught up on the Hollow Crown's Henry V.

Duck me but that was magnificent.

Kudos of course to cast and crew, but actually the main thing for me has been a definite new-found respect for that dude Shakespeare. The words and concepts he wrote were just wonderful.

Also, was it me or did they shoot some of the French scenes in Camelot/Château de Pierrefonds? I swear I've seen those turrets and archways before...

it was so good wasn't it, just so fantastic ... i was mesmerised throughout the entire thing.

The French castle was totally Pierrefounds wasn't it!

The Dauphane (not spelt correctly i'm sure) and Henry had some hate/hate thing going on and it was a shame that the didn't do more than glare at each other when they met.

IF only i didn't have to go to work so i can watch it again!

It was brilliant :) Though that epilogue... what a kick in the teeth, even if I did kind of like it in a painful heart-wrenching kind of way.

Hats off to everyone involved, they did the bard proud.

I thought it was Pierrefonds, too! And I agree, it was just amazing. The whole series has been absolutely excellent. And I agree, that dude Shakespeare knew how to string a few words together. ;)

Heh, well if it was Pierrefonds it makes their comments about men going to "Arthur's bosom" all the more appropriate! Definitely one for the DVD collection when it finally comes out :)
