At work we've bid a tearful farewell to a friend who's moving back overseas. This was marked by going to the pub until they closed and threw us out, then moving on to a club and dancing like loons until they closed and threw us out, and then me spending the rest of the weekend grumbling "I'm too old for this s**t". Ah, life.

I caught up on Supernatural which was great fun, the bad guys this week were brilliant :)

Ah, the Leviathans - how I've missed you, it's good to have you back. Yes it may not be Dick and Edgar, but Joyce and George were absolute gems. George's scene of "Don't tempt me" at the coffee stand was comic gold. As was any scene of him being put back in his place by Joyce; never belittle the minion, or they will turn when they get the chance.

So, curing cancer, eh? To be honest I'm happy to find out in due course just what they're up to. My initial thoughts were that they were hunting for a plague pit so then they could patent and sell the cure when it broke out again, but then I was thrown by the cancer remark. Although, to be fair, there is a shedload of money for the guys who can get the patent in on that first.

And do I think Frank is dead? I don't think so, there's no body and the blood was more pink than red and Frank is uber paranoid. He may have gone to ground if he thought he'd been detected poking around Dick's website, in which case he'll be out of touch for a wee while. Again, I'm happy to find out the truth in due course.

I did take a sneak peek at the CW promo for next week's ep (ep 17). LOOK AWAY NOW IF YOU ARE GOING SPOILER-FREE...

FEELINGS I HAVE SO MANY FEELINGS!!! ♥♥♥

Oh Cas how I have missed you! PLUS!!!

As someone pointed out, could that be a trenchcoat we spy there *squints*

Suffice to say I am excited, rock on next week and whatever form of Castiel that comes with it!

On to other TV: Oh my FL, my wanderings have led to pass posts like this. Putting such trivial things like plot, writing and acting aside, is this Spartacus something I should be watching?

AND FINALLY! Because I have to finish with something Avengers-related, some fun links:
x. Sherlock/Avengers crossover trailer - a gif storyboard that made me chuckle, particularly the last panel :)
x. Some more Loki stills - he does look somewhat unhinged in a few of them. This is not necessarily a bad thing. So from what we've seen in the trailers so far we know the following:
1) At some point Loki is being marched, cuffed, somewhere under (presumably) Shield's guard.
2) At some point he is in some kind of glass cell, looking like he's cuffed.
3) At another point he's in the cell but uncuffed. WHO THE HELL THOUGHT THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA.
4) We see Banner and Tony poking at a staff thingie in a lab...
5) We see Loki with same staff thingie looking rather pissed and like he's just been in the centre of something rather explosive.
6) Thor at some point apparently manages to lock himself in a cell that may have been Loki's (bless him, Thor would manage that).
7) Loki has an army. Tony has a hulk. We have to wait until 26th April to find out what on earth is going on. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Spartacus is my guilty pleasure and definitely worth watching, not just for its m/m (most relationships are hetero and we don't get as many explicit sex scenes with men) and teh pretty (considerable as that is), it's character driven and the writing is seriously good. You really do need to watch from the beginning, though, fully to appreciate its depth and nuances rather than jumping in now, tempting as that might be. Early eps of S1 were a bit dodgy, however, so don't let that put you off, it gets better & better as it goes.

EDITED TO ADD: be warned, the series is extremely violent and gory, so don't watch if squeamish, and there is sexual violence, too, which can be disturbing to watch.
