So apropos of just one film I seem to be possibly developing a bit of a thing for Tom Hiddleston. Loki, I blame you. And Tom too for getting amusingly eyed-up by Mssr Hemsworth, then ticked-off by an interviewer for sitting indecently, before proving himself to be a film nerd who loved Indy and Back to the Future as a teen.

Anyway, I have reached that time of life where you resign yourself to the fact that the latest pretty young thing to catch your eye will actually be quite emphatically young, i.e. most definitely younger than you.

Except, stone the crows, in this instance the whippersnapper in question is actually older than me. Hurray! Yes admittedly it's by the skin of his teeth but STILL! It's been a manic and not particularly fruitful week so I will take my victories where I can :)

I love it when that happens (my current crush is a full two years older than me)! I love it a lot less when you look at their date of birth on IMDB and think, "I remember that year. Hang on, I was at *school* in that year...!" And sometimes, it's not even primary school... :o(

I'm dreading most the day I discover that the person I'm contemplating eyeing-up is younger than my baby brothers *shudders* Logically it will happen one day though... For now though, huzzah for the older males! :P
