lonelybritThe weekend has been a most pleasant one. An old friend came to stay and we caught up on each other's news. We also ambled through Gunwharf, over some locals hills, and even made it to the local fleapit to catch a 3D showing of Captain America.
Film gets the thumbs up from me, as silly and as colourful as I was expecting and as delightfully fun. Hats off to Chris Evans (the American 'Human Torch' one, not the british plonker on radio specimen); I tend to like my heroes with some flaws to work through before they hit cosmic awesomeness, but despite his painful earnestness and 100% goodness etc etc even I was charmed by the captain.
But of course, the real highlight of the film was The Avengers 'trailer' at the end of the credits. Of course it was nice to finally see all the 'heroes' on screen at the same time, but it turns out the one I was really overjoyed to see, even for a split second, was Loki.
Ah Loki ♥ I'm resigning myself that he's probably going to be just an all-out villain of the piece and that his backstory as seen in Thor will not be continued. Still it will be good to see him again, I live in forlorn hope the brothers may have a short moment of understanding amidst all the exploding 3D CGI :)
Finally, this interview with Misha about SPN S7 entertains me. (Warning: SPOILERS for S7, including in the link name). If my previous viewing history holds I'll wind up watching the beginning and the end of S7, which is probably a good thing as it sounds like Cas will definitely be around and causing plot complications for the first 2 eps. After that... we'll see. I'm oddly hopeful that we will see more of Cas despite Misha no longer being a regular, all the crew seemed to be making a point of acknowledging Castiel's popularity with the viewers, so I can't imagine they'd for sure write him out this early on. Then again, stranger things have happened.
