Rec me a book!
May. 31st, 2011 12:54 amFor reasons I can't possibly imagine I'm once more craving some good old 'angels and demons' fic. I've read some great books in the past, namely:
x. 'Good Omens' (by Pratchett and Gaiman) - honestly, need I say more. A classic.
x. 'I, Lucifer' - who doesn't love a bit of devil POV. His perspective on us and his own siblings makes for great reading.
x. 'The Testament of Gideon Mack' - a journalist goes over the papers of a recently deceased minister who claims to have met and conversed with the devil. A tale of more questions than answers, this was a fun read.
x. 'Tales from the Wyrd Museum' - a kids book from back in the day but there were definitely demons; I remember it mainly because it was the first book to drum home the idea that actually a group of old-school, hard-core shepherds would not be easy to intimidate and that angels were possibly just a little bit mind-bogglingly-terrifying.
So if anyone can recommend some more titles of a similar theme please feel free to chip in with a suggestion; all recs welcome!
