Ah, so yet another ep of L&O rolls past. It was fun and entertaining, though possibly not for the reasons the writers intended.

I'm glad that the TW crew learnt from Out of the Rain about not having NHS staff giving up confidential information without seeing ID first, although the effect was slightly ruined by random member of public materialising in the depths of Order's offices. Then again I know nothing of Order, perhaps security really is that casual for the minion's digs.

And as for Law, well, if you thought Merlin and Will had a bit of a tough break-up it was nothing compared to Steele and Faruk. There were tears in the eyes and everything - brilliant. Actually it was more like watching Arthur watching Lancelot leave, except in this case 'Lancelot' hated Arthur and basically wanted him to fuck off and die. Ah, bring out the violins.

Anyway, because I'm curious and also because I was bored - have a poll! Come on FL - enlighten me!

The 'other' to your last question being: it's ALL bollocks! Seriously, this is a dreadful great slab of water-pumped ham. About the only one turning in an even vaguely competent performance IMO is Bradley Walsh, and that my friend is not a compliment!

Shockingly awful. How do these things keepo getting money when TW only had enough budget for five bloody eps?

Heh, I was tempted to add another option of 'Neither - they all deserve to be taken outside and shot' but decided that was possibly a little harsh on characters who, bless their incompetent cotton socks, are only trying their best.

I am prepared to forgive the Beeb for curtailing TW if (a) there is a series 4 and it comes only months as opposed to years after this newest series, and (b) a lot of the saved money gets sunk on Merlin so I can watch the cast happily frolic with even shinier CGI baddies. Is that too much to ask, Mr Beeb?

Im watching but its all a bit dull so far. They keep getting cracking guest stars (Julie Aubrey and the like) but Ben Daniels sends me to sleep every time he opens his mouth and Freema has barely had any screentime and been somewhat non descript when she is on screen.

So I'm not really watching it - more having it on as entertaining background noise. But I am watching it now solely for Jamie Bamber and his joyous "hard man" mockney routine and Bradley Walsh who has weirdly turned out to be the best thing in it. Oh and to play spot the guest star and which episodes of Morse, Lewis, Who etc they appeared in.

Yep, it is a bit like Bonekickers in that your jaw repeatedly drops at the calibre of guest stars they manage to bag. Which makes it even more of a crying shame that they turn up and then get sweet FA to do (although it was nice that for once Sean Pertwee didn't play the guy who dies).

Ah, the Bamber, I think my highlight remains his attempt to play the hard man and throw the suspect up against the fence and the way the camera kept desperately cutting every possible angle to try and hide the fact that the guy was so much taller. But at least Bamber and Walsh appear to be enjoying themselves :)

*petpet* That ep was one I wound up missing parts of, and sadly the Wang-doodle bit was one of those parts, I can't be arsed to go back and rewatch but I will say that I did love the inmate winking at Bamber and his appalling attempt at flirting via the mattress comment (or was that a different ep?) :)
