Screw 'kind of', I think I'm well and truly smitten. I'm currently trying to drag down all and any I can talk to down with me. I've got the Valient ep on in the background, and dude, my friend who just watched it is so, so right - there is epic break-up music going on during the firing scene. Oh this show. It was made for me :)
I can't cope. The 'slashier than fanfic' slash, coupled with the utterly delicious Daddy!angst is killing me. Uther put him in JAIL. To teach him a lesson. I don't even know where to start with that. It's like Daddy!angst on a more epic scale than I even could have imagined. *sighs in angsty contentment*
Also, I have a very bad dirty old lady crush on Arthur. And a slightly less dirty one on ASH, as well as a bit of a soft spot for Richard Wilson.
Not the spiders, though. The spiders were horrific. Oldest girlie nearly fell off the sofa, and had to use the old 'cushion over the eyes' trick. She was not happy, as she missed the whole of the 'saved by the glowing ball of their slashy love' section of the show.
Despite the spiders, it was bloody good stuff. Cute boys, slash, and daddy!angst. What more could we want?

And oh god yes, the way the slash and the daddy!angst combined at the end just did me in. Arthur's cry and look when Uther crushed his ickle flower *clutches heart* Though even then it's good daddy!angst, we're only 4 eps in but we have actually had Uther tell Arthur he's proud of him - awwwwww.
You may have a very bad dirty old lady crush. I am actually going to hell. I accidentally wound up in an NC-17 Merlin/Arthur fic. And I enjoyed it. I can feel the flames licking at my feet already...
