*~*~*HAPPY BIRTHDAY
madders !!!!!*~*~*
I hope you had a fabulous day filled with sunshine and prettiness of all forms and plentiful cake :)
And whilst you're bathing in champagne, I'll recount my weekend. Which started very nicely with a wedding where the mother gave her first (and she hopes last) best man's speech. She did a good job and it was a wonderful day, complete with tears and family reconciliation and a lunch spread that left you physically unable to move for a good half hour. Even the weather obliged us by doing a complete 180 degree turn overnight (three days of forecasted heavy, thundery downpours became three days of hot, sunny intervals).
The weekend ended with a trip to see Indy IV with
crystalshard and some pals from work. I went in with zero expectation and came out having enjoyed myself - there were good visuals, some brilliant visual punch lines, and of course the moment where I was insanely glad to have a fellow TW fan sitting next to me who also dissolved into giggles during a 'tense' scene when a certain device was suddenly brandished. Damn you, Torchwood.
Doctor Who? *thumbs up* Thoroughly enjoyable - I want to see next week's ep now so I can be told just what the hell is going on =)
Of course I'm also full of happiness over the sudden splurge of 'Torchwood' related news. Congratulations to Burn on bagging the role of Bill Sykes. (The Ghost Master actor has also been cast - I might have to see this production...) Also congrats to dear Barrowman and David-Lloyd on getting themselves within the top 20 of AfterElton.com's Hot 100 for 2008 list. (I also ♥ their reactions: JB - "I’m thrilled with the results. Who wouldn’t want to come in behind Jake Gyllenhaal?"; GDL - "I understand I'm underneath John Barrowman, which seems to happen quite a lot."). And finally, whilst there's still no official word from the BBC, TVGuide's blog / interview with Julie Gardner (exec producer) does apparently confirm that S3 is a go, and also what format it will take. I miss my show... *pines*

Date: 2008-06-03 01:06 am (UTC)Also, there's starting to be rumours about plans for series 4. Which frankly I'm amazed by; I thought if we got series 3 that would be great news but also that that would be it. But rumour is that IF they get a series 4, that will be back to the old 13 ep format.
Who knows, maybe one day the BBC will actually make an official announcement...
