Another two cancellations at the Rift. Sadly we have lost Alan Dale and Chris Chibnall. Whilst it would have been lovely to meet the guy, I can live without Alan Dale purely because I'm not entirely sure what I could have asked, but I am mildly gutted we lost Chibnall. He wrote some brilliant eps this series and it would have been wonderful to hear his thoughts on them all and quiz him.

BUT.

On the plus side WE GET RHYS!!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! Yes, Kai Owens is replacing Dale and I am ridiculously happy. Please god let Myles not have to cancel too, because to have those two on stage together would be amazing =)

Oh, and for those interested in such things, apparently we'll also get a first peek at the Torchwood action figures...

To be quite honest I always thought Alan Dale was rather false advertising as unless he had the day off from Spamalot he was only ever going to be there briefly but losing Chibnall is a shame.

Yep, I'd assumed that Dale would at the last be leaving early on to be back to his theatre on time. It is a real shame about Chibnall considering the eps he was responsible for, plus of course head writer. Flooble. Whilst Moran does sound lovely from his blog, he did only pen the one ep in the one series, unlike Chibnall and Treganna. Ah well, c'est la vie. And we do get Owen as compensation =)

I would have loved to listen to Chibnall talk, but Kai Owen is a brilliant way to make it up to us and OMG ACTION FIGURES YAY

Kai Owen is indeed an awesome addition to the guestlist, I fell so hard for Rhys this series :)

We're not allowed to take photos of the action figure sculpts because they're not completely finalised yet. Does that mean we can suggest to them what little additions should go with each, after all what Ianto action figure would be complete without a stopwatch and a bar of dark chocolate.

I adore Rhys so, yes, bloody brilliant that we also get Kai Owens on the guestlist! :) Considering it's the three of them at least (GDL, Myles and Owen) it should be a riot if they all get onstage together, the TW cast in general all seem to get on really well so hopefully they'll all enjoy themselves. Add Marsters to the mix and it's full steam ahead!
