Well I suppose I did make it this far without being spoiled, that counts for something. And to be fair I think I must have clicked on the link pretty much at the same time as the post was edited to warn of spoilers. Ah well. I shall spare no more thought on the matter, instead pondering the angsty deliciousness of Strachey: Shock to the System.

For those of you who haven't seen the Strachey movies, they're well worth looking out. An adorable cast, nifty engaging plots, and an OTP like you wouldn't believe between the leading man and his partner who looks astounding like S1 Wesley. My love for these two knows no bounds :)

Ah it was going to happen sooner or later, when you are literally hours away from a series finale I don't think there really exists a post that can be guaranteed to be spoiler free, it's just my weak will when it comes to any vague TW-related discussion that keeps on letting me down :)

To be honest I was in such a state of nerves over what might happen in the finale I can't honestly tell if there's any difference now I have a very slight hint, so it's hardly made things noticeably worse :) (And I did kinda suspect one of them might be the case anyway.)

I have no willpower. At least none that's worth much, its patheticness is legendary (for e.g. my stance on The Rift). So far it's basically been down to work keeping me busy and knackered causing my online time to plummet. That and generally avoiding larger coms like the plague, though that was more to do with having enough of the batshit insanity before spoilers became an issue. I'm still going to try and avoid any more spoilers, but all I can say is that if that is the kind of stuff that's been sailing around these past weeks, you have my sympathy, all bets really are off this series aren't they. My show... *wibbles*

OH AND HOW!! =)

Though I have to be honest and say that a large part is down to Spence really managing to nail a perfect replica of S1/2 AtS Wesley. You know, if Wesley had been an American, but details details *handwaves*

When I get the time and energy, I'm definitely going to have to look out the books and I'm curious to see how they were adapted and compare to the final film product.

Hee, yes, I'm sure that's a draw for many of us. :D Although, a much more confident Wesley, perhaps. :) I adore Don though. So many little things, and he feels very comfortable in the role to me. Heh.

I've heard from many sources - and you'd be best of consulting theferretgirl for similarities and differences - that the books are nothing like the movies. The lovely OTP of the movies is non-existant in the books. Plus, of course, set in the eighties, it was a very different time in the gay movement and gay culture, so there's a lot of focus on AIDS, so there are simple adaptations for the sake of making it contemporary, but also it sounds like there's some character manipulation to make the guys more likable. I'm being a little vague just so you won't be spoiled if you do decide to read the books anyway. :)

I will say that the plus side of getting so close to the finale before getting spoiled is that my nerves were already shot to pieces, so it's honestly not made my situation any worse. Though I have now been speculating like mad and trying to forget what I read whilst simultaneously attempting to imagine what will fill in the blanks...

Aw, I love the Strachey movies! They're perfect for getting all cozy, stocking up on comfort food, and watching. And Timmy=S1 Wesley! omg, you are so right! I'm currently working my way through Angel again, and I'm on season 4 and I kinda miss sweet innocent S1 Wesley :)

Season 4 was a gorgously, hot and deliciously angsty character, but yes, when I rewatch the earlier eps I do miss the earlier sweet-natured innocence. All prim in his suits and his tea *happy sigh* He'll always be one of my #1 fandom boyfriends :)
