Moran won me with his writing of Ianto's 'NO! Because the phones aren't working' and of course the fact he followed everything so avidly in his blog - bless.

Chris Chibnall... breaks my heart he's off at the end of this series. I mean obviously I wish him well and all that, but I enjoyed Countrycide and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Assuming we get a TW series 3, I'm going to miss this guy.

Loved Kiss Kiss Bang Bang - loathed Countrycide with the power of a 1000 firey suns! Horribly deriative - just well horrible in fact! Chibnall went up a great deal in my estimation when I listened to his commentaries on the dvd set because he was brutally honest about how truly crap most of his series one scripts were. I'll reserve judgement on him overall until I've seen his final 3 episode arc.

But yes its pretty cool that they're both going. Moran also wrote Severance which was pretty funny.

I'm shallow and Countrycide will forever have my thanks for giving an entire ep of Ianto in civvies. Plus I did appreciate that it was one of the few eps where all the gang got to have a bit of action - there were too few really good 'team' eps in series 1.

As you say, though, my final judgement will depend on how his last three eps go.

Severance. Is that a film? I suppose I should try and find a way to watch it before the Rift so at least I can think of something to say beyond TW :)

Yup Severance is a film - it's about a group of Brits from a gun manufacturers who go on a sort of team building exercise somewhere in Eastern Eurpe (can't exactly remember where) and a group of escaped soldiers from a nearby camp start massacring them in inventive ways.

It's not great. It has some fun lines and some nice dark humour but its a bit too heavy handed in its message.

Hmm, sounds like the kind of film I'll save for when a bunch of mates come round, we get battered, and suddenly require an 'easy' film to see us through the early house of the morning :) In any case, roll on April, I'm already ridiculously excited it all!
