Just noticed that the new series of Hotel Babylon starts tonight. Isn't it this series that John Barrowman will be guest-starring for one ep? In any case, HB is glossy and daft but normally it's fun, so I'll probably be curling up on the sofa at 9pm with a glass of wine to see how Beesley's eventual replacement is shaping up.

ETA: OOH! And I've just realised that Alexandra Moen (aka Lucy Saxon) is also a HB regular. Seems she now goes by the name of Emily. Excellent! :)

Max Beesley left Hotel Babylon?!?

Until La Barrowman guests, there goes my whole motivation to watch that show!

There's a new boy on the block apparently, Lee Williams, who'll take over as manager - at least I think that's what the general news was last year. Max Beesley hasn't left the show just yet, but his character will bow out at some point.

Assuming the show hasn't lost its humour, I'll probably keep an eye on this series, though mainly because, like you, I'm waiting for Barrowman to burst through the gilded front doors :)

Ooh, I'll have to look out for that one. Did you see the episode with Tony Head in it? I've only seen a handful of HB episodes, but that was one of them.

Yep, it was the first ep I ever saw of Hotel Babylon - and yes it was purely because I'd heard he was in it. Me and the housemate tuned in and, though we didn't bother watching every week, we did admit that it was shameless fun and giggled like loons during his 'jingle' :)

Oh, that jingle was painful! I stumbled on that episode by chance, as I switch over to BBC America a lot and that's what happened to be on at one time. The show's filled with too many vapid, selfish characters for me to watch regularly. Glitz and sex is boring if you don't like the characters!

I think it is one of these shows you just have to turn your brain off and enjoy the pretty - but it does seem to have a knack of attracting some good names. I'm guessing it's got a reputation of being a fun set where you get to let it all hang out :)

It isn't a progamme I've really watched before but I've just seen the advert and saw John Barrowman! I may be a little excited. Unfortunately we Scots have to wait until Friday :(

Grr - I missed the ad with Barrowman. I'm looking forward to seeing him though, it looks like the kind of set where he'd enjoy himself. Anyway, this week's was fun, at least until they tried to be serious. Tsk tsk, Hotel Babylon, keep to the frothy shallow prettiness and all will be well :)
