On the off-chance anyone actually knows how these systems work...

Suppose you had an underfloor heating system, connected to an outdoor boiler, which ran through the usual UH Blending Valve. When the boiler is moved then apparently something needs to be reset not only on the outside part of the system, but also somewhere inside. I'm guessing it's where all the thermostats are and such. Anyway, this complete 'reset' was done, the only real change I can see is that the temperature of the blending valve has been turned way down. If I wanted to turn the temperature back up again, would I need to reset the whole system again, or should it just happily tick over?

Have you checked the pressure? I know a lot of central heating systems are dependant on pressure and you can sometimes manually correct it, which admittedly is not very helpful.

I have consulted Igor and his advice is that bleeding the air wont really help, but topping up the pressure (slowly and carefully he says) with the manual tap that should be attached to it will.

I think it is perhaps a job for your father this weekend, this is the sort of thing men are for after all, that and opening stubborn jars.

I have no idea about the heating but wanted to say I love your icon. There are not enough Wesley icons about.
