*drums fingers on table*

Feeling mildly nervous and also thinking that my decision to back away from spoilers is probably a good thing. There's a faint word on the breeze that spoilers have broken for TW eps 4 and 5 that are, to put it mildly, creating a bit of a stir. Not sure if it's as bad as the time Kripe dared to think he could do what he liked with his own show and thought that introducing female characters to the cast would be fun (yes, even I picked up that one and I'm not even in the fandom), but I guess time will tell. ETA: I have a lovely lovely FL who will brave the storms for me. Apparently though some folks are going spectacularly nuts, it is generally mountain-out-of-molehill syndrome. That's fine with me :)

Anyway, I'm going to keep living in my shiny happy bubble of love when it comes to Torchwood. And yes that will mean also waxing on lyrical about a certain character who looks, I think, fabulous in pink :)

So, on that note, this little poll was a harmless way of whiling away three seconds. Just a fun straw poll about how folks see Ianto and his one-liners thus far. (In conclusion: NO! Because the phones aren't working!)

I appear to hvae completely missed the spoilers that are upsetting people. Point a sister in the direction of them pretty please?

Have now read said spoilers. People are indeed going spectacularly nuts. You can probably hazard that said spoilers concern Jack and Gwen. But you know what having read them I'm not concerned. Not at all. To me what I've read suggests that Meat (episode 4) is the episode in which Gwen finally does what I said I hoped she'd do in my review of last week's episode - wake up and realise what she truly has. Also the fact that the episode is written by Cath Tregenna and that James Marsters didn't have superlatives enough for it in Cardiff is somewhat encouraging!

Also the following episode is the one in which the Janto is meant to be quite central, which is enocuraging.

In short - mountain out of a molehill.

I've read the spoilers and I think people are overreacting, to be honest. It's very much the same as what had some people up in arms in episode 1.

I'm carefully avoiding the spoilers too. Odd - before TW started, I couldn't get enough of them. Now that I have my regular dose back, I don't want to spoil it.

Don't read the spoilers. Other than people overreactign to silly stuff, I'd avise you against them because they basically tell you what happens on the WHOLE EPISODE, LMAO. I read them and was instantly sorry I did. ;___;

Haha, I guess. And I'd take the retcon, but maybe it'd make me forget about the snogs! :(

Avoiding the spoilers like the plague. Seriously, I can't understand the need to wank about something that hasn't even happened yet It's the same reason why I bring myself to write fic set in the current season. Things have only just been brought into play. If we claim to like the show so much, why not wait to see what's they're going before we panic and start witing "fixing things" stories.

*sigh*

Sometimes I just feel old and grumpy.

HEE!! I'll admit to missing most of the wank since the few times I've been on OG I haven't really been that impressed. I'm sure it'll hit [livejournal.com profile] torch_wood fairly soon though, a thousand times brighter then after the first episode. It's times that like when I take comfort in plodding along on completely unrelated to the big issue fic. Also when I vaguely consider writing Ianto/Gwen just to watch people flail.

Oh its already on Torch_wood honey - two pages and a 105 comments strong. Most of whom don't actually appear to have actually read the synopsis. We've got bitch fighting between Pretentious Yank and a BNF Author and all sorts - its alll goood!

Basically there is someone on Television Without Pity who seems to be getting the episodes early and writing up the plot details with a heavy degree of editorialising at the same time. People read, people go loco.

I read and bearing in mind my preferred pairing of choice go "hmmmm - that sounds like promising character development" and that was about the sum of my reaction to it.

I've read a very nice Ianto and Gwen friendship fic but am not sure I could cope with Ianto/Gwen it does have to be said!

I've read snippets of what the spoilers are, enough to grok the fap, and it's all horseshit. I swear, I don't understand hwo half the fandom ('my' half, forsooth!) is getting what every other slash fan dreams of for their OTP all their lives, handed to us on a salver - and people are working their tits into a merry old froth insisting that day is night and the evidence of their own eys is meaningless against some vague uncorroborated spin repeated umpteenth hand.

Hmmm, people are so silly - and I must stop joining in and being one of them over there, it's getting in the way of my Five Things fic...

Also: Ianto far too pretty this season for anything else to matter in the slightest.
