"The Captain Jack Harem Fan Club?"
Jan. 15th, 2008 12:15 amJust spent a fun while watching all the DigitalSpy cast interviews held after the press screening of Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang. Great fun and it only really spoiled me in terms of the names of guest stars, so I don't have to feel guilty :)
If you just have time for one interview, go for Naoko Mori. None of them were bad interviews, but she really hit an easy groove with the interviewer, smiling and giggling and giving out just enough information to keep you hooked without overly spoiling you. Really looking forward to learning more about Tosh and seeing how she develops as the hints dropped sound fantastic.
Both Kai Owens and Gareth David-Lloyd looked a little uncertain about having a microphone and camera waved at them, unsurprisingly a lot of GDL's answers consisted of bountiful 'Um', 'Er' and 'Erm'.He did also manage to look about 12 compared to the rest of the cast despite an attempt at a beard. They (and all the other interviewees) were full of praise for their guest stars, GDL saying how it raises the game as you feel like you have to be really professional and on your best behaviour when someone you remember watching as a kid walks on set.
And yes, GDL's summation of where Ianto will end up as a person by the end of the series made me a very very happy fangirl. (Eve's of Gwen was also lovely but a bit foreboding and right now I'm only dwelling on the happy.) It goes without saying that Tosh sounds like she'll continue to be made of awesome.

condomslighter out of your pocket if you're feeling the need to prove it!" Poor guy just doesn't look like he's ever going to be the full manly beard type, though. HAR HAR!Also - OMG, woman, it's NEARLY HERE!

Date: 2008-01-15 01:53 am (UTC)Bless him, he looked just so self-conscious. I don't know how it does it, honestly. I mean, I know he's your typical, healthy, foul-mouthed, dirty-minded, bosom appreciating 20-something male. With big hands. ::has a moment:: How on earth he manages to somehow hunch himself all over the moment a camera points at him so he looks small and slight and positively innocent is one of life's mysteries :)
Have to say, the more he does interviews, the more I realise he really just isn't the type to normally be spotted in suits. His family and friends must have had a fit of the giggles when he described Ianto to them the first time.

Date: 2008-01-15 02:42 am (UTC)I did wonder, over last year, if he was amping up the slef-conscious thing a bit, and maybe that's part of a role, too. I've seen him jitter-free, in the right circumstances - and when he was singing, he seemed pretty confident - especially given that the auidence wasn't all sweetness and fangirls. But I'd guess 'singer' is another role too, to some extent.
Agh, too many unquantifiables! In conclusion: Gareth hot, Ianto pretty, OTP 4EVA! 43 hours to go, and WHEEEEE!

Date: 2008-01-15 11:02 pm (UTC)By this time tomorrow the first ep will already have finished over an hour ago. I have a nasty feeling that the next time I go into full fangirl flail/squee I will not actually have time to compose myself before the ep actually starts. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! :)
