Aww bless

I am happy to report that Hotel Babylon is back on track, in that it is back to being fun and funny and glossy and shamelessly enjoying itself, with none of these attempting to tackle seriously issues and annoying things like morality and conscience. Tonight was the night of the evil food critic, a right 'cock' otherwise known as a celebrity chef, and of course suspected porn stars. Good fun, keep it up, HB, until Barrowman finally gets to land.

Thanks to the FL I realised I've already seen the Ianto 'spoiler-y' pics months ago and so I am once more at ease as, although I've no idea what ep they're from, frankly I couldn't give two fiddlesticks about any potential plot because the boy was looking pretty. I'm shamefully shallow - I'm the first to admit it :)

Also, thanks to academia4me, I discovered that today Gareth was presenting a 'ZOOM' award (ZOOM helps young folks in Wales make their media projects such a films).

I would say I am not a fan of the goatee, except we are talking about Gareth and common sense went out the window a long time ago when it comes to this poor chap. Suffice to say that the pic garnered the kind of 'Awww' of fond, indulgent pity normally reserved for the spawn when they unveil their latest personal fashion statements. In short, yes, I'd still hit on that :)

Torchwood, aka Noooo! Not the coffee!!

I really enjoyed this week's ep. It again relied a lot on the actors really, well, acting and for a good portion of the ep I was sucked into the character dynamics and developments.

And then about three-quarters of the way though you could almost see everyone remembering that this was Torchwood and that we should probably have something alien-ish in there, and lo! we once again plopped back into the sea of plot insanity and happy pretty crack. Anyway, I'm probably going to have to rewatch before trying to have too many 'deep' thoughts as, well, it's just that kind of ep, it needs rewatching methinks.

And THEN came the preview for next week's. Dude. All bets are off. It's going to be mad and brilliant :)
