lonelybrit: Apples & book (Default)
There was something rather warming about being able to get the Sunday papers and see Torchwood all nice and officially stated in B&W as airing on BBC2 this coming Wednesday. In the main all the reviews have been, putting it mildly, positive — for the first ep at least it appears the writers have pulled their socks up, guest-star casting spoiler ) obviously has a ball and takes the rest of the cast along for the ride, hints from S1 look set to be developed a wee bit (marvel at my self-control) and the cast/writers are hinting that there may actually be some kind of continuity this season. In short, hopes are that the potential spied in S1 will actually be realised this time around.

I would be generally drowning in squee except I'm now past that stage into the time where you go everywhere with extreme caution in case someone/something/an icon/a missing LJ-cut spoils you. Not sure how long this caution will last. From the rumours I've read so far I'll doubt I'll be able to go entirely spoiler-free for the rest of the season, but we'll see :)
