Here's to you
Jul. 5th, 2007 01:02 amDespite work being a bit of a pig's ear, the rest of the world has taken on a rosy tinge today.
(1) Alan Johnstone freed. Such a good way to start the morning, his parents were glowing on the news report at lunchtime.
(2) Pics from TW filming. Yes, the beloved emo!twiglet is there, unfortunately a little blurred but still delicious in his suit and overcoat *pets* Jack and Gwen also successfully make me feel small, fat and ugly by looking frankly unbelievably gorgeous in their pics. Oh Torchwood, why must you be away so long, why?! *whine*
(3) Casting Confirmation for Season 4 Doctor Who. I'm happy and I think there's great potential here. ( Cut for short spoilery thought. )
(3) Jack/Ianto Fic Rec. I'm always wary of trying fics by writers I don't know, but something about the icon and summary got me and all I can say is thank god. Gorgeous use of the second person POV. It's first-time Jack/Ianto, but not overly sappy, not overly angsty, instead it's just how it should be, with too much known and unknown history between them, slightly ambiguous motivations, yet still steamingly hot NC-17. The prose is lovely, and the writer has a great touch of Ianto's dry humour throughout, especially when observing the rest of his teammates.
