Franz f**king Ferdinand!

First off, no, I didn't get to meet any of the lads. So obviously there were no pics. However for those of you who are curious, I suggest you check out any of the #_daily coms (for eg alex_dedicated/bob_daily) since there was at least one photographer there and the pics are already doing the rounds!

I'M ALIVE!!

So I passed the nerve-shredding driving test last week. Went to try and start the old diesel only to find the battery was dead in the water. This week my uni pals - who are amongst the best in the world - helped me get her up and running again. This weekend also heralded the end of my time in Brum, and thus the need for packing and boxes and a long drive.

So today I was loaned one of the younger spawn, and together we packed up the car and sallied forth onto the motorways of the North for the very first time. AND WE LIVED TO TELL THE TALE, HURRAH!

Admittedly we got lost twice, the car stalled twice, we got overtaken by a caravan, and at one point the battery tried to overheat, but that aside it was a success. Two hours down the line and we're all safely back home. *is proud*

Now I just have to repeat the feat tomorrow morning, though without the spawn for company, as I've still got to finalise a few things with the project. But tonight I relax :)
