So my general announcement to the world was: 'Alexis is starring in Arthur Miller's play All My Sons in Liverpool next month and I'm going!'

The responses were:-

Father: WHAT ARE YOU THINKING- Oh it's after your project deadline, yeah that's fine then.
LJ (including LB): ALEXIS!! ZOMG SQUEEEEEE!!
Rest of LJ: whatever.
Baby sister: ALL MY SONS! Is that the epic american realist play by playwright Arthur Miller set in the 50's, dealing with the themes of betrayal, loyalty and deception, based on the american idealism of 'the american dream'?

Yeah, guess who's doing English lit for A-level *pets*
ETA: Oh, and the housemate just called me from the V Festival so I could get an earful of Morrisey belting out what I think was 'Irish Blood, English Heart'. Life truly smiles on me.

Got shown the way by [livejournal.com profile] killerweasel, and have got to point others this way too.

'Trailer' for AtS Season 5 Finale

Just done so very well, to the music that played in that final showdown in the BtVS finale. 'What if they're not there to be beaten.' Leaves you with a tear in your eye at what used to be, but at the same time makes you realise that, really, it was unlikely to have ended any other way. Of course Wesley in particular tore my heart out, but closely followed by the lovely nod to the angst of Angel and Connor. *sniff* Though, actually, part of the rec has to be that this vid isn't just about wallowing. Cos AtS had some great quips too. Do go and watch.
