Mmm, weekends.
Jun. 18th, 2006 04:04 pmSo far, touch wood, this weekend has been lovely. Got to meet up with a cohort of old pals and consumed respectable quantities of alcohol.
We watched Doctor Who after three gin and tonics, so possibly our judgement was a little skewed, but on the whole I thought the episode was brilliant. LINDA was so sweet, all the cast simply perfect and thoroughly watchable - no easy task considering they were being asked to take the place of Tennent and Piper as the main protagonists. I also loved Rose's Mum and her fierce loyalty to her and the Doctor, as well as that nice little mention of Mickey *sniffle*
And of course there was the obligatory Torchwood shoutout. Am I the only one thinking they're not actually very good at their job so far? How many alien invasions and such have happened on their watch? Tsk tsk.
