So the past few days have been full of fun revision.

Have I taken any of it in?

Hah!

Course not. *sigh*

Anyway, little quizzes and lovely fics have a way of cheering me up. Which is kind of odd considering how depressing and dark some of said fics are.

Various 'House of the Night' Quizzes - lets hear it for the courtisans! )

[livejournal.com profile] thebratqueen has written the most lovely short-ish fic: Habit.

And of course [livejournal.com profile] willshenillshe has been writing gorgeous sonnet-themed fics, as well as the brilliant mindwipe!verse )

ETA: I feel cheated.

Well, actually, no I don't considering there really was no reasonable way I could have known about the show at the time and, more to the point, there was no way I would have had any time/interest in hiking all the way up to London to see it.

But still.

Yes. I knew that AD had appeared in theatre (and I'm hoping he might come back and do some more sometime), and yes, I knew that it was through that that he met ASH.

I did not take in that the play was 'Rope', nor did I take in the fact that the play seems to have been widely praised by the critics, nor did I even vaguely begin to imagine that, apparently, the opening scene went something like this:

A total blackout heralds the opening scene. It is deeply disturbing and sets the atmosphere perfectly. Minimal light
gradually falls on three naked, satiated men draped languorously over an antique chest. Before being plunged back
into darkness the dreadful realisation dawns. One man is dead.

Ah well. Such is life.
