yay, spammage!
May. 19th, 2004 12:20 amThis is one of the funniest things I've read recently! It almost makes me want to see the film itself. Head over to
cleolinda's LJ and read her Troy In 15 Minutes. It will brighten your day just a little :)
1. Take five books off your bookshelf.
2. Book #1 -- first sentence
3. Book #2 -- last sentence on page fifty
4. Book #3 -- second sentence on page one hundred
5. Book #4 -- next to the last sentence on page one hundred fifty
6. Book #5 -- final sentence of the book
7. Make the five sentences into a paragraph
*sigh* I don't even want to begin trying to make head or tail of that one...
#1: 'Enough To Make A Cat Laugh' - Deric Longden.
#2: 'The English: A Portrait Of A People' - Jeremy Paxman.
#3: 'Shostakovich: A Life' - Laurel E. Fay
#4: 'Shadowmancer' - G. P. Taylor.
#5:'Lord of Misrule' - The Autobiography of Christopher Lee.
Ooh, and just doing that weird taggy thing to see what colour name I have:

I woke up in the usual way. Dr Johnson's teasing of the Scots is positively benign by comparison with the crude abuse the English have thrown at the Irish. Just as in 1936, the creative intelligentsia from all spheres was expected to respond energetically to the resolutions, applying the admonitions and prescriptions directly to their own disciplines. He lay on his good shoulder, hands still chained, and rested his head against the wooden headboard. 'Next time get it right,' I said, and gave it back to him signed, Christopher Lee.

Date: 2004-05-18 04:46 pm (UTC)I'm too tired to even try this meme - sports day today - and choir and committee meetings after and then Time Bomb. Aptly named. Did I miss the first and obviously vital five minutes where Wes and Angel had the big mindwipe confrontation? Hubby turned the vid on a bit late...
And bonkers!Wes reminds me (visually) of mini!Wes , with the sticking up hair at the back. Mm, hot-o-rama! And yay, Gunn's back.
Not really coherent tonight, so very, very tired.

Date: 2004-05-18 05:28 pm (UTC)Sadly. No. No big confrontation. The first five minutes were Illyria rescuing Gunn. Very easily. And then a scene in Angel's office where Angel is again giving Wes a roasting, this time over Illyria and how she shouldn't be there, they can't trust her, laughing at the idea that she could one day be an asset to the team, etc etc. Throughout all this, Wes looks like he's hardly listening, never making eye contact. And then Illyria turns up with Gunn.
And, hell yes. BorderingInsanity!Wes is very, very pretty... :)
