Oh god oh god we're all going to die?

Ah the joys of a calming weekend with the grandparents.

You know I have fond childhood memories of the grandfather setting light to a field and doing a 'fire dance' through the flames. These days it's a bit more tame. This weekend we only had jump leads being attached to running engines, with the resulting jumping leads and flying sparks. We also had the grandparents insisting I top up the near empty engine with the petrol kept on site, the petrol leaking somewhat down the side of the car due to a punctured funnel, and then the grandfather lighting up his pipe in the area mere minutes later.

*sigh* I find the continuity oddly comforting :)

Methinks your grandfather may be a closet pyromaniac. It's sweet, but also ever so slightly worrying.

*grin* Well I made it out of there more or less in one piece. Had one worrying moment when I realised the plume of smoke rising above the village as I drove home was coming from our barn, only to discover the neighbour was burning old ivy in our front yard as agreed last week. Heart-attack averted *hugs*
