So since I have washed up in the back of beyond with a bit of a commute every morning, new music has once again become a bit of an issue. I'm browsing through Amazon and being a tight-fisted so-and-so am looking to buy enough to make sure I get free P&P.

The Definite: The Feeling - Twelve Stops and Home.
They did do a great set last week and I did enjoy all of their songs, so why not :)

The Possibilities:

x. Wolfmother.
I know only two of their songs (Love Train and the one about Eagles flying) but I like both. Is that enough to risk the whole album?

x. The Bees ('Free The Bees').
I can't actually remember any songs from their set last week bar the chicken one, but they seemed fun and inoffensively bouncy.

x. Evanescence ('The Open Door').
So shoot me but I liked their first album, there are times when a bit of emo is good for the soul. Again, only really know one song, but it sounded decent.

x. The Essential Joshua Bell.
The violinist playing in the soundtrack of Lavender Ladies. Sounded gorgeous on the DVD and I'm curious to see what he sounds like on a proper album.

So, dear FL, you may mock me as much as you like on the proviso you also provide at least a little advice on how to proceed; are any of these albums worth the hassle of clicking the mouse button, are there others I should be investigating? Advise me, please! :)

My advice is that if you'v got the first Evanescene album, you've got enough Evanescene in your life.

Also, you cant go wrong with a bit of Motown.

I love The Open Door album by Evanescence, but most people (around here in Podunk, NY at least) think they're too commcercial so they don't like the group. *shrugs*

I'm a huge fan of a group out of Virginia called Carbon Leaf. I almost always have at least one of thier albums in my car with me on road trips. They travel well with me, as do Great Big Sea and Afro Celt Sound System. Not sure if I've helped you any though. :)
