Well that's been one hell of a week
Jun. 25th, 2007 08:56 pmSo, the good was that I got a job interview, the bad was that because their HR department was a tad disorganised the invite for Monday morning only arrived Friday. Another bad was the middle spawn going missing, followed by the good in that it turned out just to be the parents forgetting to inform me he was camping, followed by another bad that the grandmother had been hospitalised. Seems they suspected a perforated ulcer, but are still unsure and she just came home but is going back in tomorrow to see if they can actually diagnose. And in amidst the end of GCSE/A-level madness, the car trying to break down in the rain, and various family members relocating as needed, I also found out I'd got the job. So yay, relocation to Portsmouth here I come. After I take my turn looking after the elders this weekend.
In conclusion, the LB family is slightly dazed but we all seem surprisingly perky. And in such times it doesn't take a lot to make me smile and feel a little brighter towards the world. Especially when the past 48 hours gave me this:
(1) The dirtiest kinkiest canon Jack pics yet, surely. - they're from the finale so technically SPOILERS. But frankly buggered if I feel any the wiser as to what the hell is going on, not that that I really care, today shallow rules all. Thank you
torch_wood. ETA: Dear god. As someone's just pointed out, you do realise this is going to be shown on a huge screen, in Trafalgar Square, at the Gay Pride march. Oh life =)
(2) Gratuitous low-rise, half-unbuttoned Gareth David-Lloyd. - seems he went to a local theatre production and when spotted was apparently lovely and let them take a few pics. Whilst he proves that even gorgeous men often have no idea about how to do their hair, he continues to give strength to the argument that Season 2 Torchwood will be a far happier place if they'd let Ianto out in civvies a little more often :)

Date: 2007-06-25 08:37 pm (UTC)We're hoping they'll figure out what's wrong with the gran sooner rather than later, though we're also trying to figure out how to move someone in with them as they would insist on living in the back of beyond.

Date: 2007-06-25 08:42 pm (UTC)As in a nurse type person or one of you guys? And I take it they refuse to move nearer to you guys? Aren't they old enough to get state support etc..?
We have to celebrate when I get back PAR-TAY!!!!

Date: 2007-06-25 08:46 pm (UTC)As in just someone to be there should one of them fall over, then they can be on hand immediately and let the rest of us know that we're needed. And yep, they refuse to go anywhere. Mum's had to read them the riot act about at least having someone else living with them.
And yes! Horbling shall be one big spiced rummy mess =)

Date: 2007-06-25 08:51 pm (UTC)Hmmmm....that's a tricky one...I suggest you ponder this problem carefully you may want to consume rum whilst doing this :P
Oh no!! We'll be partying a lot sooner than that missy! Don't think you can get away from me :P

Date: 2007-06-25 10:58 pm (UTC)Agreed, rum and/or tea will be needed. It's a rare thing when the three alphas of the family have a huge blow-up, so it's perversely entertaining watching the father and every other family member retreating to take shelter until they figure it out.
Excellent! I shall keep a mojito with your name on it :)

I also love that Gareth posed with the very cute girls, what a nice guy, he has a lovely smile and should be in civvies more often. Yep.

Date: 2007-06-25 10:55 pm (UTC)Oh Jack. How I have missed you on DW. And you return with a sexy evil Master. Fandom smiles on me :)
I utterly agree, I think Ianto should assert his right to wear casuals to work like the rest of the team, yis.
