So, me and father sat down to watch the last ep of Life on Mars.
It was the right ending for the show, and the right ending for Sam. It was also a cracking good ep.
John Simms is wonderful. Whilst I'll miss Sam and the show, it was a not utterly empty comfort to think that the next time I see Simms it'll be on Doctor Who.
And incidentally, if anyone has a copy of Bowie's 'Life on Mars' close to hand and feels inclined to share, I would perhaps love you just a little. Can't imagine why that song is still going through my head :)

Date: 2007-04-10 11:21 pm (UTC)I am literally DYING to watch the LoM finale. Part of me doesn't want to, but I love these characters and I want to say goodbye to them (even when I actually don't want to.) Gawd. ;_;

Date: 2007-04-11 07:55 pm (UTC)Heh, there was an interview with one of the writers on the radio this morning. He was being asked if he was trying to say that 70's Manchester is heaven. He was very diplomatic, but said whilst the 70s has great fond nostaglia, personally for him the answer was most definitely 'No'.
