It gets the thumbs up from me. Martha is definitely likeable, and most definitely has great potential - I'm looking forward to seeing how she develops over the series.

I'm feeling most contented. A good solid start to the series - Martha was great fun, and I loved her family! The Judun (sp?) were really scary, at least till they took their helmets off, when I just giggled like a loon. But yeah, I was suitably freaked out when they marched into the hospital.

I'm having Sontaran flashbacks. *g* DT was immensely cute, and I did like his barefoot moment.

Katie was slightly underwhelmed - "Hmm - well, that could have been better, but on the whole she's happy it's back. I tried to explain to her about season openers and suchlike, but I think I might have lost her. Ah, the discerning viewing habits of the nine year old> *g*

I'm a happy fangirl right now.

*grin* Yep, a good solid ep. I think I do get where your daughter's coming from though. Me and Princess_S really enjoyed it, can't wait for next week, but the ep didn't blow our minds the way some season openers have.

...but does that mean that if he saves the universe enough times he gets greater and greater titles from her? Because the extra time it takes to say "lord grand high overking of professors, save me" is just long enough to teeter over the edge of something.
