Ianto with me!
Mar. 2nd, 2007 01:04 amI'd say a pox on the spawn except that's kind of the problem. I wouldn't mind except why did they then have to pass it on to me. Bah! Past two days have been going downhill, then last night I was gently hacking up a lung whilst having mildly hallucinagenic nightmares about, I shit you not, Excel spreadsheets. Yep, you can tell I've been in this profession too long. Anyway I spent today at home curled up in bed dozing and listening to the radio. Feeling slightly better, might try to return to work tomorrow.
I haven't actually been feeling well enough to really keep up with LJ, but oddly enough even in my weakened state a few items did leap out at me:
* FIC REC: They Grip The Ground. - short and perfectly, giggle-inducingly sweet. The team have to round up a rather large alien. Leading to a scene which I wish I could quote complete, but kicks off with: "I am a tree," Owen said, creeping forward. "Fuck. Fuck. I am a harmless little tree walking towards you, and you don't care, because I am a tree."
* GDL picspam: The Genius of Beethoven. I can't pretend he looks particularly desirable in period costume, but he does look adorable in the long coats with the overlong hair. Plus it induces ideas about Jack meeting a kind of 'Ianto' centuries ago...
* GDL news/observations: Fantom Films - audio books. Gareth and others are reading various ghost tales, due for release in April. I like ghost stories, I may be able to legitimately buy this. I have also decided that part of the reason I love GDL is how, in some ways, he is so opposite to Ianto. Ianto is clean and smart and always dressed to impress. Whereas the moment GDL leaves the set, he stops shaving, dons the hoodie, and pops that same baseball cap back on every time. He also wears these rather nifty leather buckled wrist thingies. I know one of them is a watch, but when you've been to the shops that PrincessS and GP and I have been too, you'll understand why I find these items mildly distracting.
* GDL picspam 2: Just to prove I'm not a completely perverse f**ker, here, enjoy a pretty pic of Ianto/GDL gagged, kneeling, handcuffed and giggling. Yes apparently it is possible to laugh around a gag.
