Today was mainly filing and I was flicking through a report on the M6 looking for a date when I thought I saw '... and the TARDIS'. After blinking and telling myself to get my mind back on work, I went back to recheck and sure enough - a tender for the Department of Transport talked about the effects the use of the TARDIS would have.

TARDIS, as I found out from my bemused line manager, standing for Thelwall Area Roadside Driver Information System. You learn something new every day.

In any case. Clearly it's A Sign (no I don't know of what). Yesterday, after all, the Doctor Who crew started shooting in some Welsh quarry. And today was supposedly John Barrowman's first day back on set. *bounce* The new series draws closer. And continuing with the DW theme, I was pleased as punch to read that Derek Jacobi is going to guest star. He'll always be Cadfael to me and the voice of The Prisoner of Zenda. Happy memories. The article also mentioned how he and his partner also recently had a civil partnership, awww.

And there's more. For the John Simms fans out there, there's a new DW casting rumour/speculation doing the rounds. (The Sun - Doctor Who casting rumour - potential spoilers) Whilst I'm taking it with an ocean of salt, oh be still my beating heart. If it pans out, how brilliant would that be?

*grin* I would still happily sell a sibling if it meant AD could guest-star on TW. Especially as the ex - and hey, he and Barrowman have worked together before so surely he'd get the recommendation at least :)

Sorry - I've made it clearer now. As far as I know nothing is confirmed for the last half of the season, everything's still speculation and wishful thinking at this stage.

Okay, thanks. :) I didn't mean to have a go at you or anything. But hey, it'd be pretty great if he did get cast, for that role or any other!

No worries, I'm usually more careful when it comes to spec anyway :) If he does get cast, I honestly wouldn't mind what character he play if it gets cast to be in the same ep as Cadfael - can you imagine; Tennent, Jacobi, Simms and Barrowman all onscreen together *happy sigh*
