Okay, own up
Jan. 27th, 2007 03:20 pmAlright, which one of you f**kers can I blame this on. Come on. Own up.
So you know how by your everyday wandering through LJ you pick up the odd song here and there that you completely forget about until one day it pops up on your player's shuffle, and you're left going 'Where the hell did that come from?' Not that I really mind, I hear new things this way. But. Still. Already the spawn have laughed contemptuously at me when they spotted some AFI on the playlist: 'Oh my god, LB, they are the most emo band ever.' (I still like the song, though, so there *sniff*).
I still consider myself new to the whole music thing and the concept of 'street/indie cred'. But even I am aware that My Chemical Romance has, how to put this politely, rather strong emotional connotations.
So which one of you f**kers unloaded Teenagers onto me? Confess. Because it's utterly not my fault I actually find the song really catchy and fun and am now curious to hear other tracks. And if I end up liking it and earning yet another snooty remark from the darling brats, I will be blaming you entirely.

While I am not to blame for Teenagers, you have my sympathy, for by the end of the show, I was perfectly willing to throw what little musical cred still remained out the door for the sake of Gerard and company.
It's not my fault they're so catchy, either!
